When we sit down with homeowners on a free inspection, the most common question after "how much" is "how long." The honest answer for a single-crack repair is usually 1 to 4 days on site, plus the inspection visit. Here's exactly what that looks like.
Day 0, the inspection (~45 minutes)
Raf comes to your property, walks the foundation, takes photos and moisture readings, identifies the crack type and root cause, and writes you a fixed quote in your inbox before he leaves. No followup needed unless you have questions. This visit is free regardless of whether you book the work.
Day 1, site prep (~4 hours)
Two-man crew arrives. Drop cloths down, debris cleared from the work area, crack surface wire-brushed and pressure-cleaned for resin bonding. If there's exterior excavation needed (rare for crack repair, common for full waterproofing), it happens today.
Day 2, injection (~6 hours)
The actual repair. Injection ports are placed along the full length of the crack, and the resin (polyurethane or epoxy, depending on the diagnosis, see our explainer) is pressure-injected to full depth. The chemistry typically bonds permanently within 60 minutes and cures within 24 hours.
Day 3, drainage and finish (~5 hours)
If the root cause was exterior (drainage, grading, downspout), this is the day we fix it. Backfill graded, exterior drainage adjusted, downspouts redirected. Cosmetic finish coat applied to the visible crack so the repair is invisible.
Day 4, sign-off and warranty (~30 minutes)
Raf returns for a walk-through. Lifetime warranty document delivered (transferable, follows the home if you sell). You get a folder of before/during/after photos for your records, useful at closing if you sell the property. Done.
What can extend the timeline
- Multiple cracks across the foundation (each adds injection time)
- Bowing wall reinforcement (carbon fiber installation adds 1–2 days)
- Full-perimeter waterproofing (interior or exterior, adds 3–5 days)
- Exterior excavation where access is tight
- Weather, hard freezes can delay exterior work a day or two
