The problem
Homeowner first noticed water seeping through what appeared to be a small crack in their finished basement. They opened the drywall to patch it themselves and discovered a significant outer-corner structural crack running through the foundation behind. The corner geometry concentrates lateral load, making this one of the most consequential crack patterns we treat.
How we fixed it
We injected expandable polyurethane to immediately stop the water at the crack, then performed structural reinforcement on the outer corner using carbon fiber straps bonded with structural epoxy. The reinforcement distributes lateral stress across the wall and prevents future movement, restoring the corner to a continuous structural element.
- Expandable polyurethane injection resin
- Carbon fiber strap reinforcement
- Structural epoxy bonding resin
